The CSRA YARDDOGS 12U played close to home today in North Augusta, SC in the Top Gun Thunder Down Under.

The girls started the day playing against friends and school teammates, Georgia Thunder Black. Our YARDDOGS girls found some gaps and made some plays to win game 1.

Sometimes you step on the field and the energy just isn’t there. That’s what happened in our second game against the Rampage 09. We were definitely humbled in that game. 1-1 in pool play put us as the top seed in the Silver bracket.

Our YARDDOGS girls just wouldn’t be denied in the championship game! 15 hits and 18 runs gave our girls additional bling on the season. Great defense, pitching and catching protected the lead. I’m proud to coach these young ladies and see them go from that humbling moment to the fire being lit and playing some of the best softball this season.

We had two home runs on the day!!
